Prices
All prices are subject to VAT. While we make every effort to maintain prices throughout the year, changes in price will appear on your order confirmation. Our current prices can always be found on our website. A discretionary £5.00 small order charge will be added to orders below £100 net.
Delivery of Garments
Deliveries will be sent when complete to a single delivery address carriage paid when your order exceeds £350 net using a next working day delivery service. Orders delivered over water or to some remote parts of Scotland may take up to 3 working days. When orders are below £350 net our standard delivery charge of £10.75 will apply. Any delivery over water & to some remote parts of Scotland will be subject to a surcharge at time of despatch. Customers are liable to pay extra charges in respect of any special arrangement made at the customers’ request to expedite delivery. Shortages must be reported within 3 working days of receipt of goods (or receipt of invoice in the event of non-delivery) either by email, fax or letter.
Collection Charges
Mainland UK collections can be arranged upon request and carry a flat rate charge of £20 per collection plus VAT. Any collection requests will be charged to your account on the day of request. Over water collections & some remote parts of Scotland will carry a surcharge.
Samples
A sample order entitles you to receive 1 size and 1 colour of a garment for each style required. The overall quantity that you require can be discussed at the time of your enquiry. Sizing sets can be loaned to ascertain sizing once your final choice has been made. Extra care should be taken not to soil shirts and blouses with make-up, pen marks, dirt and oil etc.
Samples and sizing sets will be invoiced to you on despatch and will be credited in full (less carriage costs after your first request for samples/sizing garments) provided they are returned to us in the condition they were sent i.e. with hanger and all tags attached (please see note below regarding the return of shirts/blouses) within 30 days of invoice. When samples are kept longer than 30 days the invoice will become payable, unless an extended loan period (of up to a total of 60 days) is agreed in advance. Samples kept longer than a total of 60 days cannot be returned & the relevant invoices will become immediately payable. We offer free delivery and collection of sample orders, this is a one off offer of one delivery & one collection, future sampling and sizing sets will carry a non-refundable delivery charge of £10.75 on orders under £350. We suggest you keep the packaging that your order came in so that it can be used for the return of any samples.
Returns Policy
Garments can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of the date of invoice. Garments must be returned accompanied by a copy of your original delivery note clearly noting which items have been returned & for what reason. Garments returned will only be accepted if they are in the condition they were received i.e. with hanger, all tags attached. Shirts and blouses in packets will only be accepted for return/credit if they are perfectly folded & re-packed using all the original packaging materials and in 100% re-saleable condition. Extra care should be taken not to soil shirts and blouses with make-up, pen marks, dirt and oil etc. Returns after the 30 day period will not be accepted unless by prior arrangement. The cost of returning any items that we are unable to credit will be charged to the customer at our usual carriage charges.
We reserve the right to apply a 10% handling charge on returned items. Goods that are made to order or personalised cannot under any circumstances be returned, exchanged or credited. The responsibility is on the customer to ensure that garments are returned safely using a service where a signature is gained on delivery, i.e. by recorded post or by courier. We cannot be held responsible for lost/non-delivered items that aren’t returned in this way. We suggest you keep the packaging that your order came in so that it can be used for the return of any samples.
Cancellations
Once an order has been placed it can be cancelled, however this may be subject to a discretionary 20% handling charge. Where personalisation on an order has been requested, i.e. embroidery, or where made to order garments have been ordered neither can be cancelled. If you need to amend any other order in any way, please call to check if this will be possible.
Credit Accounts
Credit is offered after a successful credit check has been carried out on your organisation. In the event of us not being able to offer you credit you will be given a pro-forma account. With this type of account, orders may only be processed once we have received your payment by BACS or Credit/Debit Card. In the event of an order being paid for by cheque your order will be subject to an additional charge of £5, to cover the cost of tracking your cheque until it has cleared. No goods can be sent until payment is received & cleared if you have a pro-forma account.
Payment
Our payment terms for account customers are strictly 30 days from date of invoice. Failure to settle your account within 30 days may result in your account being put on stop or in some cases the temporary/permanent withdrawal of your credit privilege. We reserve the right to charge 8% over the base rate for all overdue debts and to recover all legal fees incurred. Our preferred methods of payment are BACS, Visa, MasterCard and Debit Card. All goods supplied shall remain the property of Waterfront Manufacturing Ltd until paid for in full.
Garment Care
Every garment contains laundry/cleaning instructions and these should always be followed. We will be happy to advise on any laundry/cleaning questions you may have. To avoid damage to your garments, particularly our easy care ranges, you should always hang your garments on the hangers provided i.e. you should never hang your jacket on a chair back or coat hook as this can result in damage/deterioration of the garment. Where wash bags are provided please always use these bags and pay particular attention to any special washing instructions provided with the wash bags.
Product Development
Due to ongoing product development we reserve the right to change the specification of any garment in the brochures without prior notice.
Variations to these terms
In respect to tailored orders that require embroidery, we have special guidelines/terms for such orders due to the complexity & handling/admin. Please discuss this with sales. Waterfront Manufacturing Limited will only trade under our own terms & conditions and no other terms will be regarded as binding upon us.
